• Description:

  Allen & Thurber American Pepperbox pistol, 32  caliber percussion, 6 shot, 4 1/4" barrels.  This Worcestor ,Mass built or assembled pistol shows the shorter bag grip, with engraving on the frame and nipple shield.  This example shows an overall grey finish with clear markings. The bar hammer is marked Allen's patent 1845.  These pistols were built at Worcester from 1847 to 1865.  The bores rate very good to excellent .  This piece is mechanically sound.
