• Description:

  This is an Austrian military percussion musket of about 73 caliber.  Barrel has been cut to 32 1/4" and has a dusty, rusty and dark poor bore.  Metal surfaces were blued & in the white, but now have an overall coating of rust.  The triggerguard, barrel band, sideplate and buttplate are brass with unit or regimental markings on the top of the buttplate.  Stock has been cut to 29" and has been sanded and revarnished over numerous dings and dents.  Came to us from Newfoundland and should make a terrific wall hanger.
