• Description:

  Canadian issue MK III Cavalry Carbine SN 4159 on bottom of the breech block.  This piece shows the 19" barrel with smooth mottled finish (mix mostly blue with spots turning plum). Barrel shows proper proofs and is marked steel.  The action is in good and clean.  The lock shows the 1871 date, Enfield and VR crown.  The wood is very sound with a small arsenal repair on left side of tang.  It shows inspector mark and Enfield roundel.  The butt tang is marked 86 or 98. Solid wood showing only normal usage, DC diamond on left side.  Nice example of a Canadian cavalry carbine.
