• Description:

  Colt 1860 Army Revolver SN 117296.  This was a Colt as purchased by the union and issued in the Civil War.  This piece shows the H&F inspector marks on the barrel, cylinder etc.  This revolver is all matching including the wedge.  The bore rates as bright excellent as is the cylinder.  The overall finish is grey with clear deep barrel markings and clear navy scene on the cylinder.  The grips are all original with edge chips and two cutouts on the base of both grips. (Probably an installed shoulder stock at some time).  The left grip panel shows the remnants of a cartouche.  The right panel shows a clear cartouche.  This Colt was built in 1863 and was shipped to the Union army.  Despite the lack of finish this Colt is an excellent complete Army that has been well used but not abused.  The action is smooth and crisp.
