  SN 506 is an Allen & Thurber 5 shot 32 caliber, small frame Pepperbox.  The identical piece is shown in Flayderman's guide, page 52 # 5A-040 .  This above average condition example shows the 1845 pattern date, an Allen & Thurber, Worchester,Mass marking.  This piece shows a 5 barrel cluster 2 3/4" with bright excellent bores. The frame shows the classic hand engraving, a working action and sound nipples.  Excellent original grips .  An excellent example of an American Pepperbox pistol that rates as excellent condition.
