  French Cadet rifle built from a Model 1874 Cras rifle.  This piece was probably built for a school or cadet group.  The action is from a Model 1874 as is the cut back wood, bands etc.  The barrel is made from a thin pipe type material.  There is no firing pin.  This piece was built with no intent of usage or firing.  It was probably used for drill parade and training of young military cadets.  An interesting example.
