An original working Kukri. This example shows a heavy 11 1/2" blade with an overall length of 15"and original wood hilt. This piece is smaller than the standard Gurka knife and was probably built for a young man or a boy. This is not a tourist trade piece but is an original used Kukri. It shows evidence of use and prior sharping. Circa 1900. The Stone book on Arms & Armor at page 397 shows the variations of different size Kukri knives.
