  • Description:

Ross M-10 rifle originally issued in 1916 before the Ross was withdrawn from Canadian Service.  The butt markings show that this rifle was reissued in WWII and show the marking KA 11.42(Nov 1942) There is a second KA marking over the original issue date.  This Ross remains in its' original configuration showing its' original metal and wood.  The bore is dark but rates as very good shootable .  The bolt appears to be original to the rifle but note is not armourer pinned to prevent field take down of the bolt. The finish shows an overall blue/grey but shows clear DCP proofs and inspector markings .  The wood is sound but shows some arsenal repairs.  The wood shows the original roundel, the MKIII marking and the #284.  In addition, there are 2 DP markings. Any complete Ross M-10 is a difficult rifle to acquire.  Where this example shows an unpinned belt we would strongly suggest that there should be no attempt to shoot this rifle unless it is examined and tested by a licensed and qualified gunsmith.  Despite the above this rifle is offered for sale as an example of a Ross Rifle and as an historical piece of Canadian Military history.
