    Excellent example of a 1842 Swiss Ordnance Officer's sword.  The blade is 29 1/2" showing bright metal with the Swiss cross and excellent embellishment on both sides and spine.  The ray skin and wire grip remain in sound very good to excellent condition.  The brass guard retains most of its' original gilding with the deep embellishment on the guard and pommel.  The original sword knot is present and remains in sound used condition.  This piece rides in its' original scabbard, constructed out of brown leather with the correct and original brass fittings.
