WW2 455 MK 1 Auto Ammo Packet

• Description:

  Amint and scarce packet of 7 cartridges built for the Webley and the Colt 455 caliber auto loading pistols.  The cartridges show a head stamp R broad arrow 41 (date) and 1.  The outer wrap shows blank spaces. As to the packing date the reverse is pencil marked R broad arrow 41 and 1 for Mark 1- Most of these packet pre date WWII.  This packet must have been part of a small run of this auto ammo in 1941.  The glue that secured the band deteriorated.
