  SN C9142 is a commercial 1911 that was probably shipped to Canada in 1914. We do not have a factory letter that shows the dealer or end users identity.  In this period of time, numerous Canadian officers purchased Colt 1911 pistols as their sidearm.  This Colt remains in above average collector grade condition.  The bore rates at excellent plus.  The original Colt blue remains at 96%.  The only loss is holster edge wear on the slide and usage trigger guard, loss on the forestrap and trigger guard.  A very early collector grade 1911 Colt pistol. This colt comes with an unmarked leather holster probably sold by a Canadian leather or military supply store.  Restricted status.
