• Description:

  Scarce British bayonet No 4 MK 1 approved in 1939 but not produced until 1941.  All of these bayonets had a cruciform blade and were built by Singer Manufacturing Co in Scotland.  The left side of the socket is marked with G crown R SM.  The right side shows a code 57 Z not the later code N67.  it also shows a SN 18954.  The top right fluke show an electric pencil broad arrow and N&B? The scabbard stud appears to bear a top portion of a C broad arrow mark.  A scarce bayonet for the bayonet or No 4 Lee Enfield collector with approximately 70,000 built.
