  SN 100217 is one of the scarcer Remington 742 carbines in 308 caliber.  The carbine was built fron 1961-1980 and scarce in Canada.  This example shows a bright excellent bore,98% bright original blue.  This carbine is mounted with a Tasco 2-3.5 scope with duplex cross hairs.  There is a backtrak sling mounted on the carbine.  Sound wood.  The rubber pad is hard and should be replaced.  A sound 308 carbine that would make a great bush gun
