SN 306635 is a Savage 99 Eg takedown built 1928, showing a 22" barrel with bright excellent bore, a capped grip stock and uncheckered. See page 78 of "Savage 99 Rifles" by David Regal. This example shows average wear with thin blue on the receiver and all original blue on the barrel and sights while the trigger and lever show original finish. The stock was sanded and a butt pad mounted by a former owner. This model 99Eg was one of 12,000 99's built in 1928 and represents a scarce variation of the Savage 99 models.
